Hi and welcome back! It will be good to meet you. If you get some time when you have settled on your character concept, let me know. We can make sure you have all your character information when you return. Also since you have been away for a while, you are eligible for the returning player program which is here https://realmsofadventure.net/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=3054.0 . You get some goodies to make the return easier! Also if you do recruit anyone you get credit for that person and they also are only $20 for their first event. No worries about being shy, we have a pretty friendly group as a whole. If you need anything, feel free to ask either here or on FB. We would be happy to help!
September 28, 2013 at 10:17 pm #29729MikeParticipantI deleted the link from the post above. The reason why is we really cannot link to other peoples work without their permission. Not trying to be mean, just trying to follow the rules here. People in the past have had issues with "official" games posting their personal work without their prior permission. In the meantime we have a guide to making arrows in our rulebook found here https://realmsofadventure.net/rulebook/#/216/.The rulebook took a lot of time and effort to put together, please familiarize yourselves with it 🙂

August 5, 2013 at 4:22 am #29064MikeParticipantHi there! Most has been covered, but as far as a teacher, that is definitely a FOIG question! Ask around in game. I can tell you with certainty there are teachers of that school if you look 😛
July 17, 2013 at 7:35 pm #27953MikeParticipantWelcome back! The only thing on the lantern I would say is that if it is terribly bright you might want to get some yellow/orange cellophane to put on it just to make it look a bit more reasonable. Honestly though so long as it is not detracting and pulling people out of game I see no issue with it.
July 15, 2013 at 7:19 pm #28771MikeParticipantThat's hilarious!
Happens more often than you might think. I am a big fat guy, but I am also fairly well known for my stealth. Hiding is not a simple matter of finding a tree big enough to hide behind, it's about bending light and shadow and finding the right spot to be in. I have often stalked people through the woods with tricks like this.
July 15, 2013 at 7:00 am #28768MikeParticipantAll kidding aside you can mostly stick to the trails and it's tough to get *truly* lost. Also every magical class is able to cast light so you can easily get someone to light a glowstick for you which helps. For any that are especially worried about getting lost in the woods, one thing people have done in the past is bring a whistle. Just in case, you can blow it and people can find you. The key is, *IF* it happens? Don't panic. Also, bring a towel.

Thank you! That, and when I forgot my password I didn't realize that my requests were going to the spam folder, because Google hides my spam folder. But let's not talk about that....Oh wait.
No worries, glad you are on and able to post:) Welcome!

March 2, 2013 at 9:16 pm #26008MikeParticipantSeems like folks have most everything covered, but I wanted to touch on a few points. As Shelly said, casting your first event is not recommended. Others can provide a lot more detail, but a few points stick out. For instance you WILL be excluded from major plot discussions and this WILL lead to isolation at various points. This is not a punishment or done for any reason other than protecting the secrets of the game. Cast has layers and the longer and more invested you become the more you learn. Additionally, casting is a completely different experience from playing as many can attest. Once you peek behind the curtain, some of the magic is lost. You can never have back the magic of your first event. As to First aid and medical needs, Franz/Farooq is right on the money. We do have supplies for dealing with scrapes and cuts, sprains, tick removal and the like. If you have some chronic condition (IE - You know EVERY time you run around you will need ice packs) it is suggested you bring your own. Additionally, legally, we are not allowed to give out any medications including something as simple as aspirin or tylenol. We don't deny these medications to be jerks, it is a matter of the litigious society in which we live. I am not saying if you have a screaming headache no one at the camp will consider helping you, I am just saying "officially" the "game" cannot. Read that as you will;)Last but certainly not least WELCOME!

July 9, 2012 at 1:45 am #22765MikeParticipantHowever I don't think I'm crafty enough to choose Drevarria and not get myself killed on a regular basis.
Worshiping Drevarria ain't !@#$%, it's worshiping Ethali that's the hard one. I speak from personal experience.
I think you missed the whole "disguising yourself as a follower of another god" part.
This:)The number one problem with people who want to worship Ethali is they miss the fact it is supposed to be kept a secret. They tell two friends, and they tell two friends...If you want to worship Ethali the BEST advice I can give you is tell NO ONE IG or OOG. Also be crafty. Simply knifing people you come across does not say "Ethali" it says "Idiot". The church has survived as long as it has because of guile.
