Taxes? What is...Is that another word for cookies?I think it was.

"Taxes" is that thing where you make friends with someone with money and then make puppy dogs eyes at them while commenting on how you're broke when some dude tells you you have to give him money or else they're gonna kick your butt. Not that I've ever been on either end of that scenario or anything. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I've heard that the inn's closed off for the game?I was wondering if there was like assigned sleeping places or if we were just allowed to go where we could get to.If everyone can make it, there might be about ten of us now... (My pixie has all the friends I guess)Also, is it alright if some of us just NPC like... all of Friday night? We have more than a few make-up roles coming in and it'd be easier to just get it out of the way/learn the rules at first I'd think.Just let me know so I can spread the word.Thank you ^_^

Sleeping - the bedrooms in the inn/main building are closed off to players (the large main room is open as the tavern). Players also can't sleep in the barn side-room. All other cabins and tents are available though, and the player base is small enough that if you want a bed in a building, you can find one, it just may be further down the road than you want. Last event I stayed in a cabin that was just myself and one other person because people are lazy and don't wanna walk 4 minutes to bed, heh.The cabin closest to the main building (with the full kitchen) is the guard house for this game, so folks whose characters are on the town guard have first dibs on beds in there. But again, small player base, small guard, there are always tons of beds left in there. Besides that, sleeping locations are all first come first serve.NPC shifts - someone in charge can answer what the situation is with new make up characters and friday night NPC shifts. There are shifts both in the morning at game on and before game off on sat and sunday though, so one of those might work for them if they really can't do friday night. Cast is generally pretty understanding, if there are issues talk to someone and they can probably work something out with you.Don't worry about rules learning too much. You'll be going to a "new player meeting" on friday before game where all important skills are covered, and the reason new players usually can't do friday NPC shifts is because you'll be going on a mod just for new characters at the start of the event to ease you into things. ๐Ÿ™‚

She mentioned already sending her background in, I believe her question is regarding character stats/skills/whatever else goes on character sheets. To answer that, there's this from the character creation section.

Hopefully we will have an online character submission working soon. In the meantime you can e-mail your character to us at updates@realmsofadventure.net,

So, looks like you can send your characters there. I'd guess to include your name and your character's name, race, class, Diety followed if any, and then list the skills you'd like to start with from your class list, though Mike or Scott can correct me if that's wrong (I remember doing that when I started, but that was a million years ago and for the first event of the game, so things have change since then).

Just wanted to say thanks to all of your for making my first event a great experience!ย  While I may have hated you in game, out of game I was just like, "OH MY GODDD THESE PEOPLE ARE AWESOME."ย  It was great meeting you all--see you guys in April, hopefully!

This claim is all lies, since for some unknown reason almost all PC Gray Elves like my character. :pI'm glad you had a good time, and hope you weren't scared away from scholar-nonsense forever by Alanna's bumbling first attempt at ever teaching anyone anything - at least you got to be a part of RoA history as a result. ๐Ÿ™‚

Pixie clerics aren't terribly common among PCs, most tend to be mages. Also welcome. ๐Ÿ™‚

Addition to my own comments – pajamas means pajamas, not 'taking your pants off and hanging around in your boxers.' I have seen more of certain boys than I want to when they do this. This has been my random PSA of the day.

Depends on you and if you're looking for any specific ideas. But for things I'd consider to be required personally:-Food, trying to stay heavier on the non-perishable side due to limited fridge space. Extra water in your sleeping area is a good idea if you won't be in the guard house.-Sheet/blanket (ideally both) and a pillow. More blanket than you think you'll need, though that's a bigger issue in the cold than now.-Basic camping problems solutions gear - bug spray, sunscreen if you won't be covered, otc pain meds, 'feminine supplies' for ladies, allergy meds if you take any, an extra inhaler if possible if you have asthma, any other meds you take or may need due to personal medical conditions obviously. -Pajamas. Unless you have 2 or 3 of the same article of costuming you're going to be wearing clothes more than one day, and if you also sleep in them all weekend in the summer that is gross, omg, don't do it, take those things off while you sleep and try to find a place to hang them so they air out a bit and don't smell as terrible by sunday.-Lantern or flashlight if you aren't planning to stay in a cabin.-Anything your character will need based on their skills - spell packets if you're a caster, bandages if you have first, aid, a lockpicking 'kit' for lockpicking, etc.-Package of baby wipes. Handy for random things.-Toothbrush/toothpaste. Or at least mouthwash.-Clean regular clothes for sunday. Most of those are repeats of what is listed here - https://realmsofadventure.net/About/first_game.cfmYou'll learn over time if there are other things you feel you need to bring for yourself, but for now, that list covers all the important things.
